Throughout my career, I have been engaged in research in psychology. My main interests lie in the application of cognitive and behavioural theories (specifically metacognitive theory, mindfulness approaches) to the understanding and treatment of psychological and physical health conditions. I am also interested in psychology of women's reproductive health. The research I have conducted into the psychological aspects of early pregnancy loss has informed the development of NICE guidelines for the management of women following miscarriage.

I have authored in excess of 25 academic papers and book chapters, and have co-edited a book Formulation and Treatment in Clinical Health Psychology, published by Brunner-Routledge. I regularly present at national and international conferences. For a full list of my publications please click here.
